I’ve been a fan of Marie Callender’s meals for a while now – love their Pot Pies, and their Lasagna, but I had not had the chance to sample the Marie Callender’s Pies!
Well – that’s all changing now 
I decided this year that we were going to celebrate National Pie Day, and we were going to do it right! With festive decorations, and all – just for fun. Why not, right?
So I headed to Walmart, where I found the Marie Callender’s Mini Pies right along side of the Pot Pies (some stores have them near the large pies).
And picked up some fun decorations to go along with them!
I was so excited to decorate the table all pretty in pink and green… see.. I’ve got boys – so most of the decorating I do is all blues and reds… What a fun treat for me 
Now – These are the easiest deserts I’ve ever made – simply take them out of their containers (or, eat them straight from the container!) and Enjoy! They go from freezer to fully defrosted in 10 seconds with the microwave.
Big Tip though: If you want to present them nicely, be sure to take them out of their containers before defrosting them – otherwise they’re too soft to come out nicely.
I took this nice one out straight from the freezer – and it took about 5-10 minutes before it was fully defrosted and ready to eat!
The Boys were SO excited to eat them – and loved every bite!

I am a big fan of their Chicken Pot Pies. On a day when I don’t feel like cooking, I can just pop a few in the oven – and Voila – after a while we have a nice hot meal.
My dad always loved the Marie Callenders Turkey Pot Pies, I saw them in the store a few weeks ago and knew we needed a few easy meals coming up, so I bought some. I decided to try the cheesy chicken & bacon for myself, not expecting much… I was very surprised at how great the flavor was. I actually looked for them again and can’t find it anywhere!

Marie Callenders cream pies are really good but I think my favorite will always be the Dutch Apple Pie especially when served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream
