So, here’s the deal…being parents of two and having one bedroom for the children has proven itself to be a beautiful disaster at sleep time. What do I do with a busy and exploring two year old brother who is SUPPOSED to be sleeping in the same room as his small, essentially defenseless baby sister? I can’t see what is happening in there when it is sleep time, therefore, I end up going in and out of the door a gazillion times to these frequently reoccurring scenarios:
- Quieting down the sister who just got pulled across the crib mattress while redirecting big brother
- Sleeping sister being woken up due to big brother climbing a chair and opening all the shades
- Waking the finally sweetly sleeping big brother to ‘snatch as fast as I can’ the whaling baby sister
The answer to ‘where to sleep?’ has been with big brother in the shared room and sister in mom and dads room in a pack n’play until the toddler is fast asleep. Not to mention the mess of monitors we have going all the time to monitor both rooms at the same time! It didn’t allow for me to sleep in my own bed or put laundry away at rest time for fear of waking a sleeping baby who is always in my space!
Just a couple of days ago, a gift was offered to our family…a Keera 2 Camera Video Monitor…we quickly said emphatically, “YES, thank you, gotta go and get the drill and get this baby installed! Bye!!!!”

- Talk to Baby Two-Way Communication. I love that I can verbally remind big brother to lay down without having to head up to their room when I’m busy.
- Record Video & Snap Photos: I love that if I see something totally adorable I can take a photo of it quickly to show daddy when he gets home.
There are many other features of Levana Keera 2 Video Monitor that we love – but the one downside was the way that the camera rotated. We found ourselves changing the mounting location several times in order to get the best angle of both children. A 360 degree angle would be much more beneficial.
Otherwise there is so much you can do with this camera, its incredible!
Our NEW sleep story:
At rest time, I was able to snatch the little lady quickly while brother bear continued to sleep sweetly and we had a great playtime outside, knowing he was safe and sound in his bed.
Our first time putting the kids to bed at night together at the same time – we found out that big brother was being a sleep stealer!!
Then the second night, we put our little lady to sleep first, added the toddler 15 minutes later into the sleep cycle, and he went down without any shenanigans. All the while we could see exactly what he might be up to in his creative growing brain. I love watching my kids from a distance – and I quickly found out that big brother preferred to sleep on the floor and only moves to the bed before waking in the morning. So Funny!
