We haven’t had much to look forward to this year and thankfully, Halloween is just around the corner. We get to dress up, party, eat candy and just watch as many horror movies as we want to. The day starts off with a little pruning as you put on your outfit and you go downstairs. The decorations are in order and in their places. You have prepared some horrible and ghastly treats that will frighten and allure your guests. Halloween is something that is almost as good as Christmas because the depth of decorations and culture is very open to everyone and easy to adapt to. What are your plans for Halloween this year?
Start off with…
A light-hearted outfit. Check out these Halloween shirts that are great for kids and adults. They have some awesome prints which are spooky but nothing too scary. They have the classic pumpkin and witches shirts but also some hocus pocus tops which are fashionable and groovy. These kinds of shirts can be worn outside while you’re out and about. They are informal but they’re not so informal that they would count as your Halloween costume. They make for a great outfit with some jeans or perhaps a denim skirt. The colors are bright and therefore they don’t play into the horror show outfit theme if you don’t want to. But since some of the tops are white, you can splatter some fake blood on yourself you want to.
The fall and Halloween
Halloween is awesome because it’s held in the fall. It’s cold, beautiful and yet, not so chili that you want to go back inside the second you open the door. In fact you can use some fall decorations such as leaves that light up, and trees that have spooky faces that shimmer in the street lights. Of course it’s just glitter but the trick or treaters don’t need to know that! The fall decorations can also include some acorns that you place at the step of your front door and around your pumpkin. A pine cone or two with some cinnamon trapped in the devices would give your home a spectacular look but also, filled with aromatic spice and welcoming scents. Some fig leaves or perhaps some holly leaves around the pumpkin would be very alluring. Candles lit at the doorstep would be great too.

Making figures
Maybe due to the circumstances, trick or treaters won’t be coming over to your house or anyone’s house. In that case you can at least make a show for passersby by creating figures. Scarecrows and other scary figures can be made to stand in your garden, outside your door and in your driveway. You can make these by using sticks, branches and using pillows or clothes to make the limbs of their bodies. Stand them upright with some sticks nailed into the ground.
Halloween is time of celebration and scary stories. This year might be a little different but that doesn’t mean you should stop partying and wearing the Halloween spirit.
