I put the need for a baby bouncer in my baby essentials post and now I’m excited to introduce you to the Little Tikes and Diono Sit ‘N Play Bouncer! It has everything you need in a bouncer and then some!
Why a Baby Bouncer?
I think I’ve said it before, but when Micah was an infant, one of the only ways he would be happy out of our arms (including to sleep at night) was in his bouncer. He wouldn’t sleep in his bassinet or crib, he’d last a little while in his carseat, but he would last an hour or two in the bouncer a few times (nursing in between) nightly for almost two months. He also liked playing in it during the day, which gave our arms a break to do other things. He gave Peter a good scare when he slid out (always use the harness!), but it continued to be a great play and nap area for him until he started crawling and got bored of it.
Little Tikes and Diono Sit ‘N Play Bouncer
The Sit ‘N Play Bouncer is fantastic, both for playtime and sleep time. My favorite part: the zipper. It can zip up to be more like a play seat, or unzip to be more reclined for sleeping. The bar can slide on and off for playtime or sleep time and the little toys are cute, soft and colorful. Micah’s bouncer had a light-up noise-making hard plastic toy bar which was great for playtime, but noisy and in the way for sleep time.
The Little Tikes and Diono Sit ‘N Play Bouncer also has a vibrate and music box that install easily underneath it. The vibrate feature is totally necessary, it was a true blessing when Micah was an infant, the vibrate really helped him sleep longer. The music is cute and entertaining for playtime.
The Sit ‘N Play Bouncer requires a little set up initially, then it’s easy to buckle baby into, slide on the play bar (make sure you don’t catch the fabric in it or it’s hard to slide) and play! Or sleep. Make sure you buckle baby in; it’s easy and baby can quickly learn to slide out and scare you to death!
Micah still loves bouncers (and the vibrate feature) and he was thrilled to climb in and test out the Little Tikes and Diono Sit ‘N Play Bouncer, even though he was over the weight limit. It held him just fine and he loved the little toys. He cried when I put it away and made him go take a nap. I’m excited to use it for the next baby and will definitely be posting more pictures!
Check out the Sit ‘N Play bouncer online, or check out Diono on Facebook or Twitter, or Little Tikes as well!

My kids always slept better for thier first couple of months in a seat of some type – a swing, carseat, bouncer, etc. They would take a while to get to where they were ok lying on thier backs.

I was really spoiled by my first 2 who slept through the night on their own in less than a month! My youngest has been a lot harder to get sleeping alone and through the night. If he is in my bed he will sleep through the night but we are trying to get him into his own bed now.
