September is Baby Safety Month, and baby/child safety is important, irreplaceable and not that hard! So here are some links to many of the safety-related products we’ve reviewed! (In no particular order)
Fire alarms and carbon monoxide alarms!
Baby monitors
Whether video or audio, a baby monitor can help you keep yours ears and eyes on baby, or just keep an eye on your house in general. Each has it’s pros and cons, so check them all out so you can make an educated choice.
Graco Sound Select LX (audio)
Car seat
A good car seat is a necessity. No question there. Having it installed well and using it correctly is also a necessity. Check out some of the awesome car seats we’ve reviewed!
Safety 1st Elite 80 – I do have to say, this is my least favorite so far.
Graco Click Connect 35 – Infant seat (the rest listed are convertible)
Babyproofing
Also absolutely necessary. No matter what brand you use, cover those outlets, firmly attach tvs and shelves (anything that could tip over on baby) and lock up the cupboards that have potentially dangerous items! Here are some good products from Dreambaby. Or check out Dreambaby on Facebook!
Bike Safety:
because helmets protect that precious brain.
There are definitely WAY more safety things I could include like decreasing the risk of SIDS (by not smoking around baby and not co-sleeping), keeping small or dangerous objects out of reach, making sure food isn’t too hot, and way more, but then this post would be ridiculously long and you wouldn’t read it anyways….

This is all such important information to protect your child. I’ll have to read up on the car seat info and make sure we are doing everything properly.

I love the fact that there are so many monitors on the market now. There weren’t as many when I became a mom 11 years ago.

Thank your for this list! I will be checking all the link out before my baby gets here in November! It’s hard to decide what monitor to go with, and hopefully this will help! Thanks!

These are all great things to be aware of. The one I’m guilty of is not making my kids wear helmets on thier bikes and scooters. Luckily no head injuries yet, but you never know. I’ll have to work on that!

Hey there would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m planning to start my own blog in the near future but I’m having a hard time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your layout seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Apologies for being off-topic but I had to ask!

Hi! I know this is kinda off topic however I’d figured I’d ask. Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest writing a blog post or vice-versa? My website discusses a lot of the same topics as yours and I think we could greatly benefit from each other. If you happen to be interested feel free to send me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you! Awesome blog by the way!
