If you came to my house right now, you might not believe what I am about to tell you because the rest of my house doesn’t show it: I am a NEAT {floor} freak. I cannot stand walking onto a crumb-filled hard floor. And pretty much most mornings that my husband is responsible for the kids’ breakfasts – the kids end up taking over and leaving me with a disaster… similar but not nearly as neat as this:
This particular morning – he handed them a bowl of lucky charms (which I swear – I never buy – because this happens every time. But this family sized box was on sale for $2.50! I couldn’t pass it up!) and then left the box of lucky charms ON THE TABLE.. Big mistake. The kids always end up pulling the bag out, eating EVERY SINGLE marshmallow.. and leaving all the cereal behind. See – usually – there is the added mess of last night’s dinner (and rice is a nightly staple in our home) all over the floor as well. 
But ever since I’ve gotten the Bissell Symphony All-in-One Vacuum and Steam Mop from Best Buy, my life has gotten MUCH neater and so much easier. I am able to clean up messes quickly and choose to vacuum/mop several times a day because it just LOOKS Better! I can honestly say this is *the* solution to my floor obsession and truly the best hardwood floor vacuum I have ever used.
This thing is simply amazing. It vacuums AND steam mops your floor at the same time. The easy touch digital controls make it easy to select whether you want to vacuum or steam separately or use both at the same time. It’s high up enough off the ground to pick up the cereal bits that my kids leave behind – and strong suctioned enough to pick up all the tiny rice pieces that are stuck to the floor. The steam mop works as well as any steam mop I’ve tried, which is great. I love the steam mops ability to get off the sticky messes that my kids leave behind – as the kids are slightly obsessed with grandpa’s honey – so I typically end up using it on my kitchen table to steam clean the sticky mess there, too. (Although I follow up with a Clorox wipe). 
Before Bissell Symphony All-in-One Vacuum and Steam Mop, I would spend at least 10 minutes a day on my hands and knees, using several Clorox/Lysol wipes and hand wiping my floor. I’ve done that for at least 5 years now. I’ve tried so many other “solutions” – of which only the handheld vacuum has come close to replacing the wipes – except that it didn’t actually clean my floor. So instead I would ‘spot clean’ the areas that looked dirty with wipes. So I’m slightly embarrassed to say that this is what my mop pad looked like after one use through my kitchen, dining room, and table. 
Ew! Right?! Well. Thankfully when you purchase the Bissell Symphony All-in-One from Best Buy – it comes with FOUR scrubbing pads. The two soft and two scrubby microfiber mop pads are infused with Microban antimicrobial protection to help fight odor-causing bacteria. The pads are easily removed and replaced, and wash up easily in the washing machine.
A couple of the downsides that I’ve discovered: I typically leave this plugged in in the corner of my dining room – but realized that when it’s plugged in, it’s constantly heating the water to be ready to use. So now I *try* to remember to unplug it, but it almost never happens because I use it so many times per day (because I just love clean!). The other problem that I’ve run into – is the debris cup lock has come loose a few times and fallen off in the middle of vacuuming, leaving a bit of a mess. I keep my eye on it now to make sure it’s locked.
So I’ve been using the Bissell at least once (if not two or three quick times) per day for nearly a month now and I am just as in-love with this now as I was the first time I tried it. My friends (and even my mom!) that have come over and see me using this are completely jealous, and have added the Bissell Symphony to their wish-list. Honest statement: BEST Hardwood Vacuum and BEST steam mop I’ve ever tried – but all together in one makes them even more amazing.

I have tile throughout the house so a good steam mop is a must. I need to check the Bissell at my local store. It may save me some time doing chores.
