When you are looking for great Christmas gifts for your family, put Burlington at the top of your list! They have fantastic toys and more, for great prices! Last time I blogged about Burlington I investigated their prices on baby items and found they are actually comparable to and often LOWER than any other stores! Sometimes much, MUCH lower! And with 3 times as many toys this year compared to past years, they have a great selection. What could be better than a great gift for a great price?
Burlington sent me a couple remote control cars to use with my boys and review for you.
The Fast and Furious RC car is a fun and so realistic looking remote control car that can drift. It drifts! Which actually makes it a little hard to turn without drifting, but it’s so fun! The controls are easy to use and the little car (a little smaller than a pack of wipes) is durable enough for kids or adults alike. It’s meant for ages 5 and up, which makes sense because Micah doesn’t really understand how to run the remote, but both Micah and Peter enjoy it!
The Stunt Twisterz Cyclone car is also super fun to drive! The front wheels can twist around and around and around and around…. which makes it impossible to actually turn a corner, rather it flips and twists until you land it at the right angle to go the right direction. Super fun, but don’t enter any races! This also means it’s great for a messy living room or front yard because the twisting and flipping makes it easy to get it un-stuck. It has a pair of wheels sticking off the top so it can roll on any side.
Plus the cockpit lights up green and spins with the wheels, which Micah loves and helps me know it’s on. The remote also has it’s own on-off switch and light so I can turn it off to save battery life! The Twister stunt car is also super durable! Micah’s favorite trick: putting it on it’s back and making the front wheels just spin and spin. Even more fun if mom puts her finger or a (clean) diaper on top!
Note to all moms: have a screwdriver and batteries on hand during your present-opening celebration! Read the battery requirements before you wrap each thing so you can be prepared. Both cars are fun to push around manually, but WAY more fun using the remotes.
