My husband is such a ‘Man’ when it comes to dressing my boys. Its hard enough that boys don’t have the cutest outfit options (comparing to cute girly dresses, of course!) but then the fact that my husband seems to be color-blind, size-blind, and style-blind when it comes to dressing the kids… it’s terrible.
In fact – when I go out of town for a few days, I typically leave ‘outfit sets’ laying nicely in the dressers – with a shirt, pants, undershirt, underwear, and socks. That way – the boys don’t look so bad. I’m pretty sure our babysitters even know when hubs dresses the kids without me watching!
So when I walked into Gymboree and looked around a little more than I usually do (I usually shop online at Gymboree, and mostly in their girls section for gifts) I realized what I absolutely love about them…
It’s HUSBAND PROOF!
So they have “Collections” of clothes – that all work together. you can mix-and-match pretty much any outfit if you own that set… and you can’t really go wrong (unless of course he uses the wrong size on the wrong kid.. )
I was able to score some really cute summer clothes for the boys. My husband will only have to look at the tag, see it’s Gymboree, and know that it’ll be acceptable to me.
I absolutely adore this ‘Go Nautical’ set – which I really wanted to get for Andrew, because he’s been obsessed with boats lately.. But they were out of stock on a few of the shirts that I loved in his size – but they had them in my younger sons sizes – so I got the go nautical set for him.
So for my older son, I had the choice of doing the toddler section – OR – the big boys section (So Exciting to reach this milestone!). So I went with the ‘Gone Surfin’ set for Andrew. Such cute stuff..
It’s still slightly large on his skinny waist – but I’m happy to report that they do have the adjustable waist bands as well.
Because I took my Sweet Time writing this post from the time I purchased these clothes (So Sorry!) These sets have gone on SALE! The clothes I bought were the spring sets – and now they’ve got their new summer sets out… and I’m totally in love with this ‘Jungle Safari’ set for the ‘baby boy’. I totally am going back to buy this set, too.
