Micah is always wanting to drink from our cups like a grown up. Then a friend of ours bought him a Sassy Grow Up Cup to try, and he loved it so much I asked Sassy to send me more! Now, he has three Sassy Grow Up Cups and he loves them all. He can feel like a grown up while not spilling all over the floor, and he’s actually gotten a lot better at real cups in the process!
The first time he drank from a Sassy Grow Up Cup, Micah was super confused. He couldn’t find the straw or sippy to suck through and it drove him batty for a few minutes. With some help and encouragement to suck from the side, he got the magic release of liquid and he lit up. The lid has curvy rubber underneath all the way around, so he can suck from any part of it and it works. Then, if he tips it too far or drops it on the floor, the lid keeps me sane (no spill, no clean up, no crying baby). Awesome!
Like all sippies, it does leak a little if dropped hard or left on it’s side for a long period. But, we can tip it upsidedown and not a drop. The colors are fun and bright and the Grow Up Cups come in various sizes for various ages. We love it. Micah loves it. He goes to it first of all his sippies and it’s quickly becoming the only ones we use. It actually fits in cup holders and it makes him feel grown up.
Plus, it’s taught him how to drink from the side of a cup, and he’s actually gotten pretty good at drinking from real cups! He drinks nicely and barely spills. Up until he gets tired of drinking and decides the cup and water are for playing…. apparently cups are for playing while sippies are for drinking.
