Lego Juniors Are Perfect for Ages 4-7
We love Lego! DUPLOs have been a go-to toy in our house for years, and now that my oldest is almost 5, he is enthralled with his Lego bricks. He wants so badly to build things, but struggles with the little pieces and complex designs. Lego Juniors is perfect for kids his age.
Lego Juniors fill the gap between DUPLO and Lego perfectly. The little bricks familiarize little fingers with the size, while the simple and fun designs are actually possible for little attention spans! The designs are geared toward ages 4-7. Lego has sets geared toward girls and boys, but either gender could easily enjoy all of them!
Since the Lego Juniors bricks are the same size as regular Legos, they can be the start of an epic collection or join right into the bucket as pieces get lost. As a mom, I love Legos (even if I step on them) because they are SO educational. My son can grow his creativity, get better fine-motor skills with his little fingers, and enhance his (limited) ability to follow instructions and pay attention until the task is done. Plus, whether building the intended designs or something totally random, they offer hours of semi-quiet entertainment.
Lego Juniors and Cars 3
Lego Juniors has some fantastic Cars 3 kits! While it looks like a lot at first, the instructions are easy to follow to make both a car and a platform. Or multiple cars and props to go with them! My favorite is the Lightning McQueen with a starting platform. Push the lever to make him roll forward! Smokey’s Garage looks like a great set too, with tools and a little crane. Who am I kidding, we would love all of them in our house! Or any of the other sets!
Lego Juniors Fire Patrol Suitcase
If your kids love firefighters, this is the perfect way to start a Lego Juniors collection! The little plastic suitcase is perfect for carrying around a small collection of Lego bricks, more than just what comes with it. Included in the set is all your need to create and fight Lego fires! Either follow the instructions to makes the simple vehicles and building, or build whatever your heart desires. Then play, or take them apart and build again. Load them up in the suitcase to take anywhere.
Lego and Ninjago
We are so excited for the upcoming Lego Ninjago movie! We love the Lego movies and this one looks as funny and creative as the others. Lego sells a numbers of Ninjago-related items, including minifigures from the movie.
We received 5 surprise bags, which we have a love-hate relationship with. The figures and props are fantastic. The surprise of opening the bag is fun. The wishing for a certain figure and taking a 1/20 risk of getting it can be traumatic with my stubborn kiddos. So, I opened them and they’ll get the figures. And the two props that come with each figure! They will be so excited to see familiar figures in the movie when we watch it!
Lego Juniors Review
Overall, the Lego Juniors are fantastic. It’s still a bit complex for my 4 year old, but a little practice and a slightly longer attention span, and he’ll gradually get better. These simple and fun sets are the perfect motivation for him to learn how to build by instructions. Plus the unlimited options and learning opportunities that comes with Lego! Get some for your kiddos today, and definitely put them on your Christmas list!
