The Hard Rock is one of those places that everyone knows. But does everyone go there? I have to be honest, before last week – I haden’t ever been into a Hard Rock! Even though there is one right here in my home town. However, Recently I received an email from the Hard Rock telling me about their new Hard Rock Roxtars Characters, Kids menu and merchandise! They sent along a basket full of goodies, as well as a gift card for my family to give it a try. 
To my surprise, they’ve changed locations at the Mall of America, right into the heart of Nickelodeon Universe! (Has it really been that long since I’ve been in there?!). 
I love all of their newest characters. They’re perfect for my little guys who are 3 and 5 (almost 4 and 6!). Band members include: Razzi™, “the motherly type” who is famous for squishy hugs and keyboard skills; Sir Kingston™, a British-invasion inspired rock-and-roller on lead guitar; Styler™, a free-spirited and accompanying guitar player; Buddy Jr™, a wild man who loves nothing more than a good drum solo; and Skiddley™, the lead singer and “Mr. Cool” of the group.
My youngest, Ethan, relates most to Buddy, Jr. As one of his biggest dreams is to be a drummer! He adores setting up the “drums” in our living room – and I’m currently looking into getting him his very own drum set. (Yikes!)
We enjoyed our dinner, and the kids felt so special – they had their very own Hard Rock Roxtars coloring book, crayons and drink cup to keep them busy while we waited for food. And when the food came they were even more thrilled! They got to eat from a guitar plate!
While our local Mall of America isn’t celebrating the debut of the Roxtars until October 28th – Cafes nationwide will be looking for pint-sized rock star look-a-likes for their Halloween costume contest, “Does Your Child Look Like a Rock Star?”. For one night during the “Does Your Child Look Like a Rock Star?” contest, kids eat free at a Hard Rock Cafe with a paying adult, and will have the chance to win a Hard Rock Cafe gift card or a 2015 birthday party for eight of their closest band members and entourage! I love the Hard Rock Cafe. We usually go to the location in Hollywood, FL because it is only half an hour away, but I would probably use the gift card on our next weekend getaway to Orlando. I think my nephew would love the Roxtars. He has not been to the restaurant yet.
