KidloLand Nursery Rhymes App Review
It’s vacation time! We’ve had a busy week full of visiting family, camping, visiting more family, and heading home. Which, unfortunately, meant a good amount of car time. We LOVE books for car rides, but eventually books get boring and a great entertainer for my 3 year old is the iPad. But, I want to know that he’s being entertained by something of value. That’s where KidloLand Nursery Rhymes App comes in. This fun app, with subscription, is loaded with songs and activities that are inconspicuously teaching him letters, numbers, instruction-following skills, and more. KidloLand is an app that is free to download so you can check out some of the basic songs and activities, then get a subscription to get full access to it all. Download parts or all of it while you have access to WiFi, then use it anywhere! Initially, I was a little concerned that the super-simple format and easy activities would be boring to my 3-year-old, but he loves it. There are lots of options of songs, subjects, and activities!
His favorite, of course, include trains, fire trucks, and space ships. Some of the activities are super simple, others are a bit more difficult, but I haven’t run into any yet that are too difficult for him to understand. The app also expands his imagination by offering new pictures, environments, and songs into his growing brain. All while learning! I’m not worried about any inappropriate content or poor influences.
Is there anything I don’t like about KidloLand? The music eventually gets annoying. Which is fine in the car, I just turn up my tunes a bit so I hear the radio while he hears his music. Even the activities have a lullaby-sounding music playing in the background. It’s initially calming, but it’s repetitive and a bit high-pitched for my tastes. Micah doesn’t seem to mind it at all, so I just tune it out.
