Next week is Spring Break for many locals around Minneapolis – And I know so many of us are *stuck* in Minnesota for the entire time. Well: I’ve got something super fun that I’d love you all to check out! Next Friday, April 3rd at 12:00pm: Macy’s in Downtown Minneapolis is hosting a special flower show cooking demo with Chef Tom Douglas! He’s going to be preparing some of his award-winning dishes, and sharing samples all around!
I will be there – my family won’t be attending the event because at ages 4 and 6 it’s a bit difficult to keep them sitting for a while. But: if you’ve got kids that can sit for an hour and enjoy watching and learning about cooking – this is a perfect event for you (and them)!
Are you a fan of Chef Douglas?? With any purchase of $35 of more in the Home department*, you will receive a $10 Macy’s gift card and a copy of Chef Douglas’ cookbook**, The Dahlia Bakery which he will sign for you!
Event subject to cancellation or change. *Purchase must be made on April 3, 2015 at Macy’s Downtown Minneapolis. Gift cards and cookbooks will be distributed on April 3rd. **One per customer, while supplies last, while time permits. Seating is 1st come, 1st served. Macy’s gift card valid April 3 – April 10, 2015.
If you’re interested in joining – be sure to RSVP to: 1.800.329.8667 The event is FREE – but is also a first come, first served for seating

This sounds like a very cool event that I would love to go see and watch Chef Tom cook his meals from this cookbook. I think it is a cool deal when spending $35 at Macy’s and I get the Cookbook signed by him!

Oh I would’ve attended this! I’m also a twin cities person (Maple Grove), though my one year old will make it impossible, unfortunately 🙁
