Birthdays as a child always seem so magical. There’s so much fun to be had, plenty of attention from the people you love, and even presents to top it all off. You don’t need to have a ton of money or buy a mountain of presents to make your child’s next birthday one to remember, however. Here are some ideas that can give your child birthday memories they will treasure forever:
- Plan Something Family and Friends Oriented
Depending on when your child’s birthday is and whether we’re all allowed to see one another (due to the coronavirus outbreak), you may need to get creative with planning something with family and friends. You could potentially plan a socially distanced get together, although kids aren’t the best at social distancing! Instead, you may want to gather some special birthday video messages for your child, or host a zoom party so that your child can see and speak to everybody they love at the same time. If you’re lucky enough to be in the clear, then arrange visits from loved ones throughout the day if you can and keep up the excitement!
- Decorate The Entire House
Don’t spare any corner of the house – get decorating! Put up balloons, bunting, banners, and anything else you can find. Put up old baby pictures and funny pictures of happy times, see if you can find decorations based around their favorite show and movie characters – go all out! They will feel extra special when they see the effort you’ve gone through to decorate – make sure the neighbors know it’s their birthday, too. Decorate your door, maybe even the garden. You could even go the extra mile and decorate the car!
- Don’t Forget The Cake
Every birthday needs a cake. Kids are often easily impressed, so don’t feel like you have to spend a fortune on the cake if you can’t afford it. Why not have a go at making a cake yourself? There are many tutorials online, and your child will love that you went through the effort for them!
- Go Somewhere Fun
Could you perhaps visit somewhere fun on your child’s special day? Maybe you could visit a trampoline park that hosts kid’s birthday parties, an arcade, or even a theme park. — If you want to plan this type of reunion, you have a great opportunity to design spaces for leisure. If you happen to have plenty of free areas at home, purchasing and taking in a trampoline to unleash all the fun possible will be an excellent call. This way, you keep everyone safer by avoiding crowds. You can get more information on Trampoline Flight.
- Let Them Pick Their Meals
This is your child’s special day, so let them pick what they want to eat. Pizza or cake for breakfast? Why not. Breakfast for dinner? Of course! It’s just one day, so have fun with it.
- Let Them Plan The Day
How about letting them plan the day? Maybe you could watch a movie in your pyjamas in the morning, go out for a birthday walk in the afternoon, and visit the park on your way. You could even have a birthday picnic if the weather is right. Come up with some suggestions for them and see what they ask for.
- Create A Memory Book For Them
Create a memory book for them to look back on when they are older. Include ticket stubs and other things to make them smile with little captions!
