I am participating in the Verizon Savers Voices program and have been provided with a wireless device and six months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.
Don’t get me wrong, I love my family dearly, but a very long car trip can lead to a headache – stemming from the back seat (Toddlers!). I almost feel like during a road trip is when my brain is most alert and functional. I usually even bring a notepad and pen because that’s when my best work happens! I didn’t want to waste this road trip with all the deadlines that I had coming up. So lucky for me on my last road trip I had the new Verizon Droid Ultra with me that I just got as part of the Verizon Savers program!
The Droid Ultra is the thinnest 4G LTE Smartphone on the market and it is the strongest too. The phone is built to last with DuPont™ KEVLAR® fiber reinforcement. It has a 5 inch HD touch screen which is an ideal size in my opinion. The battery is great, it lasts much longer than I would have expected.
The apps for the Droid Ultra are impressive, I like that I can get apps that are similar to the ones I use on my iPhone – like iHeartRadio, WeatherBug and Hulu Plus, and there are thousands of new apps waiting for me to discover them. The phone is functional, user friendly and fun too.
I took a 3 hour road trip up to Duluth MN last month for a family weekend trip. I had my Droid Ultra along with me and I was able to tether to my laptop on the road to get some work done. I was able to stream music, check email, play on Facebook, and I finally got around to (online) editing photos that needed my attention – ALL AT ONCE! It sure felt like I was connected to WiFi while driving – I didn’t have any lag time at all. That’s Impressive.
This is an affordably priced phone that is durable, functional and user friendly. It has great features like voice control so that you can use your phone without touching it, and with just a flick of the wrist I can pull up the camera.
Do you think the Droid Ultra would be an upgrade compared to your current phone?

It would be a complete upgrade to my current phone. It just makes calls. I know it can text, but I don’t. Smart looking phone.

I think the Droid Ultra would be an awesome phone. My mom and I still have an old Cingular flip phone with AT&T.
