The Merino Baby Sleep Sack is for babies 0-2 years or 2-4 years depending on the you buy. Mine is 0-2 years, which is a wide range. so, the sack is very long with room for growth, but fits nicely around baby E’s shoulders so she can’t wiggle out of it. The shoulder has snaps on one side to easily get baby in, but is complete on the other shoulder so a standing, crawling, wiggling baby can’t accidently open both shoulders and wiggle out. Speaking of easy getting in, the zipper unzips 2/3rds of the bottom half to easily open wide and put baby in, then safely zip up without worrying about catching baby in the zipper because of the way it’s sewn into the sleep sack.
The Merino Baby Sleep Sack also has two snaps under each arm. Unsnapped it’s easy to get baby in, then snap to keep the arms safely in their spaces and keep baby from wiggling out. Finally, there are two layered-so-they-are-covered holes in the front and back to put a crotch strap on a car seat or swing through for safety when necessary.
I put Emersyn in a long-sleeved onsie to keep her arms warm, then into the Merino Baby Sleep Sack to keep the rest of her warm. In the summer I won’t need the onsie underneath anymore.
