It doesn’t matter whether your little one is turning one, five or ten, the chances are that you are keen to give your little darling the celebration that they deserve. While you don’t like to think of yourself as being one of those competitive mothers, you don’t want to be the talk of the playground for putting on a poor party. Instead, you’d like to think of some unique and novel parties that will have your birthday boy or girl making memories for years to come. You don’t care about impressing their friends or their mums. You simply want an awesome party for your child. Take a look at these mini-milestone ideas to give you inspiration for your next birthday bash planning session.
Get Active
Forget at-home birthday parties with traditional pass the parcel like games, and instead, opt for something a little more active. The emergence of the indoor playground has made it easier than ever to hire out a fun indoor activity play area to let your kids run around and enjoy themselves. These playgrounds are fantastic as they contain climbing walls, ballparks, and even trampolines. The sheer variety of activities on offer within them means that your child won’t have a chance to get bored. Many of these indoor playgrounds specialize in party preparation, so you could turn up, have an hour or so in the playground and then retreat to a table to eat some great food and enjoy some birthday cake. This is a great party idea as it requires little effort on your part but the kids still have an excellent time.
Bowling
For those children who are a little older, bowling is a fantastic active birthday party. Most bowling alleys cater for kids birthdays and will throw in a game for free if you’re lucky. Great for those kids who are a touch more competitive, you can have a couple of games before descending on the arcades that are always attached to the bowling alleys. You could choose to remain at the establishment for food or move onto a chain restaurant with a decent kids menu.
Water Park
Forget a simple swimming party and look into your local water park instead. Water parks have a greater variety of exciting activities on offer. Your little darling might adore the water slides, the rapids machine, and the plunge pool. Book out a section of the park for an hour or two, and you could get a great group discount. One thing to consider when booking a water park is thinking about those children who don’t swim or who are nervous in the water. They can come along but it could dampen your enjoyment if you are monitoring them all the time. Children’s safety must be a priority over everything else.
Planning a party for your offspring and their friends can seem like a tricky task. However, ask your little cherub what they want and plan accordingly. Make sure all of their friends are invited, keep it simple, get an awesome cake in, and enjoy the party yourself.
