Micah loves minions from Despicable Me. Correction, he is addicted to minions! Granted, he’s two and he’s started to think anything with goggles or yellow in color is a minion, but he went through a week where he asked me to show him YouTube videos of minions every time we entered the living room (where the tv is). He adores watching them and we are so excited for the new Minion movie that comes out this weekend! So when Mega Bloks sent me a Minions Supervillian Jet to review, I was really excited! Micah actually massacred the box with a pen trying to get into it before daddy opened it up.
Peter loves Mega Bloks, Legos and Nano Blocks, so he had a fun time putting the jet together. It was frustrating finding the right pieces. They are bagged in multiple bags, but he had to open all the bags within the first 10 pieces, so then organization went out the window. The box says age 5 and above, but unless your 5 year old is fantastic at assembly expect to be helping some, at least to help find the right pieces as they follow the instructions.
After it’s assembled, the whole Supervillian Jet is actually quite impressive. It looks cool, is really detailed, has a functioning escape hatch and lowering cable that can connect to Stuart or Bob’s hands, back or head. Plus the cockpit opens and the little seat can “eject” (pop out). It is pretty easy to break apart, but also easy to put back together
My favorite pieces are definitely Stuart and Bob! Their little eyes/goggles are removable, hands and feet move, and the overalls can come off!

i’m excited for my son to grow and start playing with these types of toys. i enjoy every stage he is in, but seeing fun toys as a potential to play with him gets me excited! 🙂

Our house loves the Minions! Legos are also a big hit, this looks like the next Lego purchase at our house 🙂

But! This does look fun and regardless if they have seen the movies or not, my kids love mega blocks. So they would play with them! lol
