If you’ve read my bio – you would have discovered that I am an ex-stamper (paper addict really…) turned {Dream} Quilting Addict (or… fabric addict..!). It’s something about bright and bold colors that really speaks to me and makes my insides happy.
I am a bright colors/sparkles/frills kind of girl. I drool over {modern} frilly sparkly things. The problem is, is that I am NOT brave enough to display frilly sparkly things out in public. It might draw attention to myself *eeek!!*
So I tend to stick with the neutrals. Low-key.. which I’m now beginning to realize has stopped me from so many things in life…
Anyway – back to the subject:
So when I saw the fabrics and designs of the straps at mod. I was initially drooling over each and every design I wanted…. dreaming of how fresh and modern my camera accessories could be…
This was my personal favorite:
But then my brain kicked in, and I resisted. I wanted something more elegant – that my husband wouldn’t mind holding the camera around his neck while we’re on vacation…
I just love the strap – It’s called Copper Alligator:
I was expecting it to be a bit more copper, which I was nervous about – but it is the perfect color…. it’s slightly bronzed, but mostly brownish colored. Not too shimmery that my husband would be embarrassed – and the softness??? Yeah. Nothing comes close in comparison:

New Strap: Soft, Plushy, Sweat-Absorbing

The biggest pain of changing your straps?
Dealing with the clasps.. I understand – you’ve got to be sure that the strap isn’t going to fail and make your camera fall to the ground… but geez, that was a chore.
There is an accessory that you can purchase from mod. that is called a quick release adaptor. So if I were to have gotten the pink flowers, Joe would be able to quickly disconnect the pink when he wanted to use the camera. Genius.

What’s that on the Cap?
It’s called a Cap Saver. It’s the best invention since sliced bread.
Having young children around the house AND being a blogger – I tend to use the camera, a lot. I almost never remember where I set the cap last –
Or if the ‘kids’ (Ethan) get ahold of it and move it… The last time we found the cap it was at the bottom of the toy bin. I’m sure the ‘kids’ (Ethan) intended on putting it there, after I offered ‘them’ (Ethan) up for sale…
