We have a love hate relationship with sippy cups in our house. They are such a necessity with little ones, and I’m so glad they don’t insta-spill everything on my white carpet. But it’s also such a pain when a sippy cup gets left on it’s side out of my view and leaves a little puddle of yellow apple juice on my carpet…. sometimes I panic that the cat peed only to realize the sippy is the culprit. We’ve found a few sippies that don’t leak, and my new absolute favorite one is the Nuby Insulated Steel No-Spill Flip-It!

The Nuby Insulated Steel No-Spill Flip-It looks like a small version of an adult stainless steel thermos on the outside, with the fun addition of colors and designs. Hit the button to flip open the lid to find an easy-to-drink-from straw, but first screw it open to fill it up! I love that it’s screws closed but has a flip-top button open: my little man can hit the button to open it but he can’t screw it open without some serious effort.

My favorite thing about the Nuby Insulated Steel No-Spill Flip-It is the straw! It doesn’t just talk the no-spill talk, it’s lives it. I’ve shaken it, dropped it, and dishwashed it and it still holds it’s own against lying on it’s side on my white carpet. The only thing to make it leak is soda. Soda and sippy cups don’t mix, not ever, the carbonation pressure makes not spilling a hopeless effort. My little man loves it, and his 1 year old sister thinks it should be hers. She actually does lay claim to it quite often, until he figures out that closing the cap renders her little fingers incapable of opening it.
