Maevn EON Scrubs
As an Emergency Room nurse, I wear scrubs many times a week. While they look like comfy pajamas, there are some big perks to good scrubs that not all brands and designs have. So, when I was introduced to Maevn Scrubs, I was excited to check them out and see if they fit the needs of a busy ER nurse.
As soon as the Maevn EON scrubs arrived, I knew I’d like them. They are covered in pockets, lightweight, breathable, and shaped nicely. The fabric is wrinkle-resistant, which I actually “tested” by leaving them in a pile on my floor, and helps to wick away heat and keep me comfortable in hot and busy situations.
So, first things first, putting them on before work I felt comfortable! They were easy to pull on (some scrubs stick and static and just feel stiff, not these!) and I felt like they actually fit my body well. I wear medium pants because I have long legs, which sometimes end up looking way too baggy, but the Maevn scrubs fit nicely and they are lose enough to move around easily. I wear small shirts, which can also sometimes be an issue over my bust but mediums feel like I’m wearing a sac. The small Maevn scrubs fit over my bust and are snug enough to look nice while still being lose enough to be able to fill the pockets easily.
Speaking of the pockets, the Maevn scrubs hit the mark! One shirt has two big front pockets, and one little left pocket for small things I don’t want to forget. The other shirt has two front and two side pockets plus breathable strips on the sides! The pants have two big pockets were a typical pocket would be, two smaller butt pockets, and a nice right-side leg pocket with a little flap to cover the top. Plus one has a small zipper pocket on the right thigh for other important little things. You can never have too many pockets and the Maevn pockets are great in size and accessibility.
The fabric is lightweight and flexible. I don’t feel constricted in any way; I actually feel very light! Even my pager and trauma scissors feel lighter! The seams are nice, the black is black, and the elastic in the pants is well done. Just as the tag claims, the fabric does seem to keep me cooler in hot, stressful situations and I didn’t notice myself feeling as sweaty after some long days of patient care and trauma-nursing.
Overall, I’m a big fan. The Maevn scrubs have everything I’m looking for in work-wear and I hope you’ll check them out as well online or on Facebook and Twitter.
