I just got a new-to-me car and I want to keep it clean. Reality check, I have two preschoolers, clean is a dream. My new accessories from diono will definitely help me get a bit closer to that dream though!

diono ultra mat
Car seats can be hard on the car’s interior. They are rough on the fabric, and any spills or dropped crumbs from the kiddo can make the fabric gross. The diono ultra mat is a great way to protect the seat under the seat! This mat is super easy to install by hooking it around the headrest and tucking a flap into the seat. There are gaps for LATCH or selt belt buckles. It provides protection both underneath and a few inches around the edges. The Ultra Mat also has little pockets under the child’s feet for storing toys and other little items. It’s too low for a child in a full harness to reach, but it’s handy for mom to keep things! And once he’s just using the seat belt/booster it’s a perfect storage location.
diono dry seat
We are potty training, and while it’s been decently successful, accidents happen! Accidents especially happen on long road trips when timing of stops isn’t always right and car naps may lead to wet pants. The dry seat protects the car seat so I don’t have to remove the fabric from the car seat to wash it every time we have an accident! The water-proof underside of the dry seat keeps the pee contained, and the curved-up sides and high back cover all possible areas of spillage. It’s machine washable and would also work in high chairs or other seats. Yay for easy clean up!
The only downside is that it doesn’t stay in place well. The soft fabric is great on my daughter’s precious legs, but the whole thing moves every time she gets in and out. The buckle through the buckle hole keeps it in, but not centered. It’s easy to re-adjust, I just have to remember to do it.
The fabric is black as black can be, not faded. It just looks faded due to the bright NM sunshine. My car seat, on the other hand, is as dirty as it looks.
diono travel pal
The travel pal is the perfect storage bin for toys between car seats! It’s skinny enough to fit between two seats and soft enough that it doesn’t hurt my hand when I’m helping my preschooler buckle his seat belt. The travel pal has lots of pockets inside and out, including a zipper pouch on the back. Plus two bigger pockets on front to hold sippy cups. The inside has two flaps that velcro in place to hold it open, or easily fold in for flat storage when not in use. And the back has a velcro flap to go around a buckle so it won’t fall on the floor when wiggly children bump it. Plus it’s all waterproof, so those accidental spills and collections of crumbs won’t leak out.
diono stow ‘n go
The stow ‘n go is a great tool for holding toys, snacks, books and so much more. It’s easy to install on the seat back and has lots of pockets for a variety of items. I love the velcro pocket for holding wipes for those emergency clean ups! Plus two pockets shaped right for sippies and small stuffed animals. The bottom hooks are velcro for easy installation, but they stretch as you fill it with toys, so if the items are too big or heavy it doesn’t stay flat to the seat back.
Depending on how big your car is, the seat in front might be too far away for a child in a full harness to reach anything out of the stow ‘n go, in which case it’s great storage for mom to keep things. After they are big enough to use a seat belt, they have much more reaching capability. These are great for long car trips that require so many more options for distraction! We already had one from a previous review, so I’m excited to now have one for each kid!
