Being a mom to young children, I rarely get the chance to shower – and when I do, I’m rarely fully alone. Many times my husband will bring in one kid at a time, so we can get them in and out and cleaned up! The problem is, Is when I get out – My hair is about the last thing that gets taken care of! I have always wrapped it up in a towel so as not to drip all over the place, but when I go to dress the kids and get them ready for the day – the *Second* I bend over, the hair towel usually falls in their face, and I pull it out.
This was a similar story to Angela Carr and Christina Cummings when they needed the convenience of a towel that would hold long wet hair up while getting ready! So they became passionate about advocating the Turbie Twist to be a part of every hectic woman’s life! –
The Turbie Twist is a super-absorbent hair towel, that you wrap around your head and hair, and then tuck the end behind an elastic band, which then holds the towel in place. It’s very easy to put on, and stays in place as long as you need! The Turbie Twist is not bulky, so it doesn’t sit in your forehead or hang in your neck, creating another issue with putting make-up on!
I love that I can get the kids ready, get myself fully ready – make-up on and everything, and then worry about my hair when I get the chance to worry about it. I have to blow-dry and straighten my hair, so I typically get to do that last just before leaving the house. I also use the elastic strap as a loop for hanging the towel in my closet between showers. The towel then is dedicated to my hair, and not my whole body – so I’m not feeling like it needs to be washed every time I use it, and because it’s mommy’s special hair towel -it never gets picked up as an ‘emergency’ towel to clean up my kids’ messes!
If you typically wrap your hair in a towel after a shower, and you don’t own a Turbie Twist, you don’t know what you’re missing! I don’t know how I ever lived without this before!
You can buy your own Turbie Twist at several retailers including Bed, Bath and Beyond; CVS Pharmacy and many more. See this list to find out a retailer near you!

You know, I have always wanted to try one of these, because I shower, and keep my hair in a towel for much too long. The problem? The towel is always falling, driving me crazy. So I brush it. I may have to give this a try now!

Can I just say I LIVE in these things. I use one every time I wash my hair. So much better than a huge towel and better for my laundry too.

That looks like one of the best inventions of modern times, and OF COURSE it was thought up by a woman. I'm going to find one for myself today!

I've been wanting to try one of these. I can just never get the towel to set just right and end up redoing it several times.

I got mine from Big Lots so if you have one in your area, check them out. It was only $2!
It works great but now that my hair is getting longer, it doesn't quite cover it all. I do need a haircut though. 🙂
