I know I didn’t share too much about this aftewards– but a little while ago I had a trip down to Nashville to meet the crew of VeggieTales. It was a great trip, I learned so much and had a fantastic time. I got to meet Kellie Pickler and participate in some really cool setups that they had for us, Including the great surprise that we have all been picked as the VeggieTales ‘eVEGelists’! 
We learned how to draw some of the characters from one of the story board artists:
We were also the very first people outside of the VeggieTales employees that were able to see the intro clip for their newest adventure (which I’m sure I’ll be sharing more about!) – the VeggieTales Netflix Series that’s coming this Thanksgiving – and we’re SO excited about:
And, perhaps one of my favorite parts, but a part where I did TERRIBLE at: the voice-over. We were given a clip of audio and the animation – and we did our best to try to match up the words to her lips moving. It’s much more difficult than it looked.
This trip was *Life Changing* for my son, especially. While he didn’t join me for this trip – I came home with a shiny new copy of ‘Celery Night Fever’ where Ethan learned that he absolutely loves drums and wants to be a drummer. He spends much of his mornings, doing exactly this:
Overall the trip was a success – and my family was completely rejuvenated in our love for VeggieTales (Not that we didn’t love them before!). I was super fascinated in the whole process of making the videos!
I’m definitely looking forward to sharing more with you all about the newest VeggieTales releases, including next weeks release of Beauty and the Beet, and this Thanksgiving the start of a new Netflix Series of VeggieTales Episodes, “VeggieTales in the House”

My kids love the Veggietales DVD’s and there sing along cd’s for long car rides. And voice overs aren’t as easy as it seems, takes a lot more work then what you would think, awesome experience.
The Veggietales DVDs are great and my grandsons really enjoy them. What a next experience you had!
How awesome that you got to go into the Veggie Tales studio. Veggie Tales makes very good DVD for kids and they have a good wholesome message and are great to let kids see over and over.

I would have loved to do the voice over. Although I think it is weird hearing my voice in voice mails and what not, I think ti would have been fun 🙂 I am not an artist; I can’t even draw a straight line, but it would have been cool to see how they draw the cartoons. The artists always make it look so easy! So much talent! I like your son’s drum set. I bet it doesn’t make as much noise as a real drum set. So creative!
