How many blog conferences do you know that include ziplining? It’s pretty awesome that Adventures Unlimited was one of the sponsors for Brandcation, because that means we went Ziplining and tubing on Saturday!
It was so awesome to conquer my fears and let go. I mean, I was seriously FREAKING out still – but I knew I was safe!
Our group took the ‘Adventurous’ Course – meaning that our course was longer and steeper than the regular one. My favorite was the one I was most afraid of doing: I was near tears when we got hooked up because i was so scared – but after letting go, It was SO freeing and so much fun! That is, Until I put my hand on the wrong place to break – and slammed into my super-awesome guide who was super brave and broke my fall by getting in between the wooden pole and myself – going approximately 35mph! Her finger bled a little – but she said she was fine. I felt HORRIBLE!

We also spent the next several hours tubing down the Coldwater Creek! It was rather adventurous for our group, but I had a blast relaxing and getting to know some other amazing bloggers!
Adventures Unlimited offers lots of things, like canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and camping, along Coldwater Creek in Northwest Florida. They’re open year round (except Christmas and Thanksgiving), which means you can go for just a day, or even make a weekend of it without having to worry about their holiday schedule.
Adventures Unlimited also has a challenge course, and it is the largest and highest ropes course on the Gulf Coast.
I’m glad we stuck with tubing and ziplining for the day – but I’m thinking a rope course may be in my future!

Haven’t been ziplining, but have gone tubing a bunch when I lived in Texas. Hope you all had on plenty of sunscreen. Fun times for you.

I’ve been tubing a few times in MN as well, it’s one of those things my family always did when we got together as a group!

The ziplining WAS terrifying! It was also freeing and amazing at the same time. I kept telling myself ‘I’ll be fine as soon as I start…’ and then I was, But meanwhile I was trying to stop from having major panic attacks!

Never been ziplining but i may take to that better than a the ropes course. I have endured Ropes course a few too many times and im still frightened

I still have to say where did you find water in Florida without gators? I have thought about your trip and ziplining for the last couple of days. I commented earlier about you ziplining and how brave you must have been. Now I can’t seem to get out of my head how they kept you safe!

No NEVER! And I think I’d have a heart attack really…but so glad YOU had fun! My older girls have done this a couple of times and they said the anticipation of it was scary but the actual “ride” was Amazing! How cool for you to join some other great bloggers to do this. What a great way to build confidence and just have FUN!! Moms just don’t get enough of this freedom! your pics are so great Amy!
My daughter and nephew just went ziplining in TN. Y’all are brave. I was too scared to even think about it!
